Solutions to Common Problems
- The Mac client shows an error "CSync failed to create a lock file" and my files stopped syncing.
Sometimes the ownCloud client for the Mac stops working. To fix this problem, stop the ownCloud client by clicking on it's icon on the top right corner of your desktop, and select Quit". Then open a terminal on your Mac and enter the command:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/ownCloud/lock
Restart the ownCloud client, and sync will work again.
